the whole story of disastrous voyage has denied the theory that Titanic was unsinkable. a luxury liner designed to carry elite passengers, Titanic was created as the largest vessel afloat. 3000 men were employed for the construction and the design was the best of the best. equipped with steel doors which were supposed to be closed within 25 seconds, and also 16 watertight compartments, Titanic has got no reason to fail.

she sunk because of Captain Smith attempted to break a speed record in the Trans Atlantic crossing, making the ship proceed through Atlantic Ocean faster than safety speed. despite the 3 million rivets holding ship's hull plates together, the struck on massive iceberg made them buckled and failed.

i'm actually more interested with the epic romance in the movie=p

just so u know, this love story is a fiction. I just found out an hour ago.
for many years being impressed by the romance, now i'm feeling a little disappointed after knowing the truth. the truth hurts! Ouch. whatever it is, it wouldn't change my good impression on the movie.The love story between Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, old couple who remained in the cabin till their lives end is really heart melting.
