how i spend my holiday...

this is how i spend my holiday "wisely"...
since my neck injury is bothering me and spoil my mood to give my full commitment for my next IM training, so i've decided to do a smart recovery=) my holiday is less than 2 weeks, if i fully use it to heal my pain, i guess itz much smarter than training with my neck pain. furthermore, 2 weeks won't make me Mecca.

here is the hot pack on my back. my neck pain, but the physiotherapist put it on my back.

she is on job training, almost same age as me...
i did the isometric exercise under the supervision of Captain Dr Norizan..
then the Ultrasound...
they did their job, but later i've decided to heal the pain at home and do the exercises myself since i'm able to do it. itz very simple, just like warming up before training. (but i always neglect the warming up).

days after, i told my mum that i don't wanna regret after i go back to UPNM.
for UPNM to serve Lala, itz impossible.. UPNM serves FullCarbon fish, and square beef pieces. but nowadays the food has slightly improved.
so, the best time to fulfill your eager hunger and everything is during the holiday. i've decided to eat till i stretch my six pack till the six become one big pack.
Lala has always be my favorite food. itz easy to eat, and not so expensive. my mum cooked everything for me=)

here is my cousin bro at my aunt's house..

the natural fertilizer is garbage enzyme.. very environmental friendly. this is what my aunt practice, the whole store room is full of enzyme. at the door of the store i can smell the sourly smell like the asam smell. all the vegie she planted with my uncle.

i express my hunger to everyone i meet=p so my aunt made me lamb chop! haha..
sometimes itz good to whine...

look at his first salute i taught him... got the criteria to become officer?

can use the broom to clean the garden up?

i didn't really full satisfy my eager to outing, hunger to eat a horse, and desire to give all out at Broga.. but i guess i've made a right decision to heal my pain first.
2 weeks won't make me Mecca, but may be Luke McKenzie=p hahaha!

here i would like to congratulate my good friend Azrul Syaffiq for winning the photo contest and made him top 3 who went into the Prime Minister's office to recieve such great award. the most important part is.. he wore the OP's tie! i feel so proud of him firstly because he won the contest, secondly he wore the tie.
he was the one who carried me here and there with his BMX to look for racing bike when i have no one to ask "where to buy a roadbike". imagine cycling with BMX, the cadence was so high.. Thanks A Lot and Congratz!

Physiotherapy

here is where i made my bravo and delta..

Here is Captain Dr Kumar..
first i went into the physio room, then explained to him what happened. and i'm sure he understands my situation much better than any other doctor coz he is also a rider.
we were talking about bikes and running and injuries.. i learned a lot from him=)

whatz the difference between sport massage and normal massage?
sport massage is to flush the lactic acid to the lymphatic glance, normal massage is just to make u syok=p

and about deep breathing.. if i can practice this everyday, i hope to see tremendous improvement for the next race=)

the whole morning.. i had Ultrasound done by Joel Raj, another physiotherapist gonna be.. he is same age as me, and we did exchange few words. the clicking sound on my neck when he rub the thing(something looks like Yoko yoko=p) is able to improve my neck injury. thatz what he said.
then i asked, where is the screen? i tot ultrasound i can see my neck or something? (nampak sgt aku jahil).. rupa-rupanya.. thatz for other purpose..

then, time for the heat treatment.. he shine my neck with a warm light, infrared kot.. maka aku pun tertanya2.. kalau kawat, kita jemur tgh panas, tu heat treatment ke?=p kuang3.. after that, urut2 badan.. that was my first time kena urut by physiotherapist. hari ini dalam sejarah 18 May 2009!

the highlight of this trip to Lumut is swimming in the SWIM EX! in UPNM, i'm very sure that i'm the first one to try this pool, i tested my breast stroke and freestyle in the pool.. rupa-rupanya about the same speed. must be something wrong.. so, in this treadmill we can swim at a very fast pace by setting higher water resistance. this will definitely improve the swimmer's performance! i was swinging left and right after a while..
then i know.. my pull is not balance, and i'm lack of training. didn't swim for almost a month!
IF and ONLY IF the Navy team make full use of the SwimEx.. i can assure a tremendous improvement, and huge leap in speed and a smarter training. the problem with the Navy's triathlon, not only Navy but the armed forces team is lack of knowledge.
most of them can clock 11 hours IRONMAN, but later injured.. thatz not smart k?
Lumut Naval Base have EVERYTHING! have everything to produce a 10 hour IRONMAN. shouldn't be a problem. just name it! no wonder the Navy produce better athletes than the other forces.

Kalau la UPNM have this kind of facility... Kalau...
sedangkan kolam renang jadi kolam bela ikan.. ada ikan berenang kat dalam..
dinding kolam plak macam carpet hijau.. Navy's pool is super clean, it shows how good the Navy's management is.

What juniors are all about..

based on my 6 years experience and spent my teenage years in the military environment..
Juniors will obey orders and not to question it. i was a junior, and now i'm still one.
when i say something most of the time will have "BUT".. coz i like to compare=)
life is full of choices, and not everything is beautiful.

Juniors have to endure the physical and mental Challenge. itz a torture when u're in the situation, but after that u might consider it as a challenge=)
justnow senior 06 knocked the door many times, but i didn't notice.. when i opened the door, he gave me push ups. Never mind.. i told him that i didn't lock the door.
Juniors will only respect seniors who really have the charisma. i like to observe people, the learn from them=) i would say i'm a sensitive person, coz when the seniors change the mood, i can feel it very quickly. when they change their mood, better act appropriately to avoid problems. coz they have all the power.

What seniority is all about..
when someone grows a year older, he'll get a year extra of seniority.
but how senior is their "inside"??? the VC is a 3 star general, but some of his seniors are lower rank than him. so, which kind of seniority are we talking about? AGE vs RANK. the smarter, the greater a person's "inside", i believe the faster he'll climb up the hierarchy.

Midshipmen will be going to KDSI, during the meeting i already warned them! handle the juniors with pride, i know lots of them gonna do stupid stuff there. like what i've observed, there's an ART of RAGGING.. after the punishment, there should be "cooling down".. and the punishment should be suitable with the rig.
u can't ask someone wearing Bravo to crawl right? if u insisted that u can do that, i would say u're bloody stupid. itz a disgrace to the Navy's white! celoreng is different, any punishment suits well..
but these days Commando rest with back packs kinda popular. is it correct?? i don't think itz right, coz it'll damage the neck. punishment is to make him pain, but not injured so that he'll remember. once he is injured, the PUNISHER will be PUNISHED. ended up, who punish who?

Military Semester 2009

Dataran Merdeka 10km Larian Bomba..
myself full of disappointment.. i was running 10k with the pace as if i were to run 10k triathlon. what the hell! i can't even catch up with Iwata and Don Khor.
i take it positive, will review my mistakes.

Fireman run, wear RED!!! WOO HOO!!!

the day before Fireman run.. i was on duty together with Platoon Leader Johari.
i talked to him and he shared his experience onboard KD Lekir with me=)
a very unique man, which i suggest u add him in TAGGED. hahaha.. he told me that he'll make his wedding the greatest ever, and promised to invite me. why suddenly talk about wedding? hahaha...

look at that sweet look when he talk to his girl.. hoho..

i wonder how many people care about athlete. what people care is their glory on the arena. now that i'm suffering from injury, who really cares? myself can't even see the injury, but it pains inside. i'm sure lots of people not happy to see me in normal uniform whereas the others wearing Delta.
sometimes somebody pass by and ask whatz going on, then u tell them they'll just walk away and said "urmm..." or just nod. basically no body cares.
ah, another thing.. when u wear different attire compared to the others, better think of a short and sharp answer. coz in UPNM everyone pass by and ask this and that, rumours spread crazy fast! as an example, one junior report konon nyer kena ragging, within hours the news already spread in MINDEF.
this morning went to see Dr Tanya.. after the X RAY and all, confirmed i'm okay. she said soft tissue damaged, but i think itz more than that.. the pain still there although after 2 weeks i've been light training..
Dr Tanya asked me whether can i follow the activities.. then i said i can run but i can't walk. she must be wondering what the hell i was talking about. may be she should deeply understand how athletes run. walking is very very heel striking and my heel is painful, running is midfoot strike ground, so the impact n midfoot won't cause pain at the heel. anyway, she gave me medicine and thatz why i've been sleeping for hours today, mainly to make me sleep and rest my muscles.
as i said, who cares right? all this while i brought back medals and cash prizes, people keep asking this and that.. and now, itz really weird, why no body come and help? or may be they'll tell u.. "help yourself please"..

justlike when me and mirul pain like crazy in the room, and we really struggled to go class and follow the routine. but nobody knows except those who went for the race.
at one time we got down late for roll call, then few seniors talk cock in the column. how to explain to them? imagine cross country already make them complain, what if they climb Nuang?

resting in my room, suddenly phone call from stranger..
Captain Zul rupa-rupanya.. he ordered me to go Markas, which is 1.3km away from my block. i told him i'm not well but he insisted me to go. so i biked there together with the Admin Order he requested.
i was there at 5pm, then Chief Instructor joke and joke and joke with me while doing exercise in the gym.. he looks young tho.. then CI told me that i don't need the admin order since the press conference is during holiday. thatz why i said CI works very efficient! BUT, with admin order, i'll have free transport to go there.. good also. sometimes when orders come to u, u think twice.. especially now military semester, orders simply fall to u..

some seniors will be leaving us soon.. gonna be commissioned. normal la, same thing happen every year. but this year slightly different, because of the admin implement new routine, so the seniors turn out to have weird character. all this while in Sg Besi, i've built up my character when i was in RMC.. and i feel so lucky that i had my hard times there with the RIGHT regimental style. Gerald Templer did a great job!
days ago someone said that all the 3 forces' origin was from the ASKAR MELAYU..
but in my Syllabus approved by the Ministry of Higher Learning, the NAVY started from the Reserved Volunteer Unit at Woodlands.
anyone can give the correct statement? he said that if we think we're bloody smart, then don;t come to UPNNM.. i'm just wondering which is the truth..

this year's Wesak, despite myself present in the temple, but i couldn't stay overnight in the temple to volunteer. UPNM only allow us to go outing. what to do right? i went there to pray, then by 6 pm i was back in UPNM. didn't even get to participate the procession. i remember the officers said, holiday is a privilege, itz not necessary to have it.
